Hany brings 17 years of experience at the intersection of strategy consulting, enterprise technology, and large-scale transformation delivery — spanning 8 years across Europe and nearly a decade in the GCC.
He started his career as a software engineer, building a deep technical foundation before moving into enterprise technology and consulting. This hands-on engineering background is rare among strategy consultants and gives him the ability to bridge both worlds — understanding what a steering committee needs and knowing exactly how to build the technology that delivers it.
He spent 10 years in Europe working across the Netherlands, UK, France, and Germany, including a role at MathWorks, one of the world's leading B2B engineering software companies, where he developed expertise in how complex technical products are built, sold, and deployed into demanding enterprise environments. His European career also took him to Singapore, adding an Asian market perspective to his international experience.
He then joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he led strategy development, digital transformation, and programme management engagements for government entities, financial institutions, and transport authorities across Europe and GCC. His work spanned the full lifecycle — from strategy formulation through to execution tracking, technology implementation, and new product launches.
Across these engagements, Hany saw the same problem repeat: strategies were well-designed but poorly tracked. Progress was self-reported, KPIs lived in scattered spreadsheets, and boards received updates that often are weeks old and sometimes built on opinions rather than evidence. Programme management offices staffed with senior consultants were spending 70% of their time on manual data collection instead of decision support.
He built StrategyPMO to solve this. The platform combines his consulting experience — understanding how GCC steering committees work, how government procurement cycles flow, how transformation KPIs should be structured — with his engineering DNA — building computation engines, not just dashboards, that calculate the truth from evidence.
Hany holds an MBA from HEC Paris, and an Engineering degree from Cairo university— a combination that reflects his dual fluency in business strategy and technical execution.
